This process has actually been very therapeutic for me. Ever since I launched my photography business, I have been trying to develop a sense of who I am as a photographer - my style - a logo - a brand. Well, hopefully I've achieved that... I longed for larger photos and a cleaner look.

And the good news is that all of my content from this blog has been imported to my new blog - that was important to me!

Plus, I couldn't think of a better way to finish this blog than with a photo of my family - and sharing our most recent news with you. I guess it just felt like the right time for me.

Introducing......

My New Logo:


I'm never looking back! This is IT!!










I wanted something elegant, classic and clean. I LOVE the flourish -- AND it has a very personal and special meaning to me...symbolically! That I keep to myself.. sorry!

So get ready to start seeing more of this logo....

Logo Inspiration - Name Change Coming...

From the moment I began this business... the one thing that have haunted me is my quest for a logo. Searcing for my indentity in a design that can define me.
I will say - that I like my current logo best at this moment...
BUT.... it needs to change.

I will soon be Pati Pakulis Photography... for a few reasons.

First and formost being is that there is another photographer using photographybypati.com as their domain name.

I can't have this type of confusion.

When I first researched that domain name-- I knew it was taken... but it was not being used at the time. Now there is an actualy website up and running.

The most simple and logical thing for me hten... is to simply sing my work.. and my photographs with my full name: Pati Pakulis
So I will be working on a final logo - to refelct this change.

Here is some of my design inspiration - a direction in which I am heading. And I must get there once and for all!!

The lens I used is an AMAZING lens!! It is the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor ED-IF Lens with Hood - Black Finish

It ONLY retails for approximately $1950.00

I call it "the magic lens!" Just looking through it feels like magic to me!

And the photos it takes seem magical!!

Website Dedication for my Hubby!

Well, today I officially introduced my website to as much of the world as I know. Thank you all for such amazing comments and feedback! I am so encouraged!!

I would like to dedicate my website to my husband Peter! My motivation and my determination. He has walked through cancer with such amazing courage and he has been my number one supporter!

After his 2ND diagnosis, I wasn't sure if I was just supposed to "table" this pursuit for a season. But he has never wanted me to stop. He encouraged me to continue to move forward - and to push through -- even in the midst of our family walking through cancer.

Thank you so much baby!!

He is doing well and we are nearing the halfway mark in his treatment---YES! Gos has been so faithful throughout!

So I continue to move forward with the desire to capture beauty and to bless others with the gift of photography! For this I am truly grateful!

It's Finally Ready!

They're here......

My business cards arrived! Lots and lots of them! A whole big box of them--- wow!

O.K.... 5000 of them to be exact.


I ordered more than I'll probably ever need.



Although my kids have already promised to hand out TONS of them.
So if moms start finding my business card in their child's backpack-- they'll know why!

Julia liked the back of the card the best... of course it's HER picture on it.



I had originally wanted to have more than one image... but it just came down to too much work for right now and a few other little things.

So this is it!

I will say that when you look at the card, the photo on the front almost looks 3 dimentional.. it's pretty wild! I really love it!





I'm very happy with these! Dennis with Pizazz did a nice job!

Changing lives... One card at a Time

Peter & I recieved the coolest cards yesterday. They were from our friends Johnny & Clint.

You can see one of them sitting on our piano. The other is at our office.



They were not ordinary cards either....

They were these beautiful custom made cards. Both Johnny & Clint actually created this "beLIeVE" card for us.

I had created this little design that I use on my blog remind me that the word LIVE is in the word beLIeVE.... well how amazing it was to recieve a card in the mail with that design on it!




On the inside of the card was a photo of Peter and I, along with such an encouraging message:

"It's not over until it's over - Together you will win this battle"

Wow!

How cool is that! Peter & I were both so blessed by this!

Johnny and Clint have this amazing company called "Send Out Cards"

Their companies mission is "changing lives....one card at a time!"

Anyone can log onto their website and send out cards. They have thousands of cards to choose from--- or you can simply create your own! No trips to hallmark or a mail box-- no need for stamps--you just do everything online. It makes things so easy!

Now THAT is Awesome! Just think of what you can do with your own photos....grandparents would LOVE to recieve cards with pictures of "their" grandbabies on them!

Perspective

Perspective. It's so easy to look at life through our own "lens."

What I love about this photo is that it almost forces you to look out from another perspective..
it just happens to be a dog's perspective... our dog Marley.
